Milwaukee County officials are warning that budget shortfalls could mean a reduction in county services in the coming years.
County Executive David Crowley wants the state to let the county raise its sales tax for additional revenue.
Crowley says the county has experienced increased demand for services like rental assistance and EMS calls, but state revenue is flat, or decreasing.
He warns there may be no local funding available in six years – and things are getting worse.
The information was shared online Tuesday during a virtual town hall meeting.
