With only three weeks left in the regular season, the chances of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers coming back to win the Division are quite slim, but they have a chance to take some momentum into the postseason.
It all starts tonight with a series opener against a team with a very similar second half of the season, the Lansing Lugnuts.
Lansing is coming off of a series against the East Division-leading Great Lakes Loons, where they lost 4 games to 2.
In fact, over the last 18 games, the Lugnuts have won 9, the same number the rattlers have won in the same stretch.
First pitch at Fox Cities Stadium tonight is at 6:40 p.m. with Carlos Rodriguez slated to take on the Lugnuts’ Grant Holman.
After this series, the Rattlers will take on the Peoria Chiefs, who are at the bottom of the West Division and will close out with a home series against the surging Beloit Sky Carp.
