Chippewa County Man Hit And Killed While Crossing Road

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office reports an 86-year-old man suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a car as he walked across a county road Friday evening.  Investigators say Harry L. Walker had parked his car on the side of County Road-X near Cadott and was in the roadway when he was hit.  Twenty-one-year-old Brennan Kaz says he never saw Walker until he hit him.  Deputies say the victim was wearing dark clothing, which may have been a factor in the accident.  No charges have been filed.
