The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers may have won a rain-suspended game on Saturday over the Cedar Rapids Kernels, but that was the only W they picked up this past week.
The Rattlers jumped out to a 6-0 lead Friday night, but the weather caused play to resume Saturday, where they completed the 6-2 win.
But for the rest of the weekend, they were outscored 15-6, losing both games.
The losses drop the Rattlers to 8.5 games out of first place in the West Division, in which they were quite competitive through the first couple of weeks of the second half of the season.
If the Rattlers are going to bounce back, this week’s series might be their best chance.
They are taking a day off today before taking on the Lansing Lugnuts in a six-game series at Fox Cities Stadium.
Lansing has struggled and is currently 23 games out of first place in the East Division.
