Genrose C. Falvey, age 97, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living Facility.
She was born November 24, 1924 in Whitelaw to Anton and Erna (Shimmel) Brunner. On April 10, 1942, Genrose married William E. Falvey. After he returned from service in 1946, they resided in Manitowoc. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church for 54 years where she did volunteering. In her early years, Genrose was a member of St. Fatima Prayer Group, enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, and volunteering at the Senior Center. In her later years, she grew to enjoy bingo and adult coloring.
Genrose is survived by her two sons: Lloyd (Paulette) Falvey, Manitowoc, and Randall (Mary) Falvey, Watertown, South Dakota; one daughter: Marilyn Falvey, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren: Cindy (Lee) Hoeffner, Wendy (Jorge) Crespo, Tony (Laura) Falvey, Theresa Falvey (Fiance Alex Hunt), and Chrystal (Travis) Isley; nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton and Erna Brunner; her husband: William Falvey; daughter: Darlene Falvey; siblings: Raymond (Emogene) Brunner, Howard (Kathleen) Brunner, and Flossie (Ray) Kohlbeck; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Leo Falvey, Marie (Jerry) Dugan, Margaret (Frank) Lensmeyer, Helen Falvey, and Leland Falvey.
In keeping with Genrose’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service.
