The Manitowoc Engineering Department is alerting motorists to several major street reconstruction projects, starting Monday (August 15th).
Engineering Division Manager Greg Minikel explains that Kellner Street, between Fleetwood Drive and Menasha Avenue, will be partially closed throughout the project, with the street completely reopened to traffic around October 28th.
The contractor is expected to maintain one-way traffic in the northbound direction only on Kellner, from Fleetwood to Menasha, at all times during reconstruction.
Minikel also says Fleetwood Drive between North Rapids Road and 600 feet east of Kellner is scheduled to be closed to traffic for reconstruction beginning next week.
Meanwhile, South 7th Street from Franklin to Madison is also expected to be closed to traffic starting August 22nd.
That stretch of street reconstruction is expected to be wrapped up and the road reopened by late October as well.
