The Sheboygan County SaberCats will be in Kenosha this weekend as they look to claim their second consecutive Mid-West United Football League title.
The team that plays its home games at Lakeland University in Howards Grove earned a spot in the championship game last weekend after they defeated the Lake County Spartans 26-0 in front of a home crowd.
In the game slated for Saturday afternoon (August 12th) they will be squaring off against a fellow 6-2 squad, the Midwest Renegades.
Both teams have players all over the stat leaders sheet, with the SaberCats’ Tyler Manning leading the league in passing with his 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns, while Jeremiah Flowers is the top rusher with 676 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The SaberCats did win the first matchup between these teams earlier this year 14-6 at Lakeland University.
The game will be played at Tremper High School with kick-off slated for 5:00 p.m.
