Following a heartbreaking loss on Tuesday, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers bounced back and picked up a dominant win over the South Bend Cubs last night 6-2.
The Rattler offense started strong, as Jackson Chourio pounded a two-run bomb in before the first out was even recorded against the home team.
Chourio would bring in another run for the Rattlers while Justin Jarvis had a great night on the mound, allowing only four hits, and 2 runs in his six innings of work.
His reliever, Robbie Baker had an even better night, as he put up a lot of zeros. No hits, no runs, and no walks as he finished out the final three frames.
Tonight at Fox Cities Stadium, the series will be all knotted up at one apiece as Carlos Rodriguez will get the start against the Cubs’ Luis Devers.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m., with the Rattlers organization also giving away player posters.
