In a game riddled with hits, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outlasted the Quad Cities River Bandits 8-6.
The Rattlers beat up on the Bandit’s pitching staff, accumulating 17 hits on the day, while the River Bandits also had a good day at the plate getting 11 hits.
The big difference came in how hard each team’s bats were hitting the ball. Wisconsin hit two doubles, and two, two-run home runs, while the Bandits only hit one extra-base hit, a double.
Zavier Warren had a night to remember for the Rattlers, as he went 4 for 5 at the plate and belted in 5 runs, including both homers which occurred in back-to-back innings.
The Appleton-based Timber Rattlers will try to make it three in a row today as they again take on the Bandits in Davenport Iowa.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
