Highly successful Manitowoc Lincoln High School varsity head coach Mary Beth Dixon will be one of six persons to enter the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame this weekend.
Dixon is among 3 coaches, 2 players, and an official scheduled to be inducted at the annual WVCA Hall of Fame Banquet Saturday night at the Appleton Holiday Inn.
Coach Dixon is entering her 21st season as the volleyball coach at Lincoln High School and her 35th year overall which has included previous stops at Cuba City and Park Falls.
During that time, she has compiled a coaching record of 890 and 273 while leading the Cubans, Cardinals, and Ships to 21 conference titles, 16 Regional crowns, 8 Sectional championships, 3 WIAA State runner-up finishes, and 2 State titles in 1990 and ’92.
Friends, family, and fans alike are welcome to attend the dinner program.
The Hall of Fame Banquet will coincide with the 2022 WVCA Coaches Clinic taking on Friday and Saturday at Community First Champion Center in Appleton.
Three of the state’s division-1 college programs will attend, including Kelly Sheffield, of the national champion Wisconsin Badgers.
