The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers picked up a dominant win over the struggling Quad Cities River Bandits last night.
The final score was 8-0 in Davenport Iowa.
The first three innings were uneventful, but in the 4th, the Rattlers plated three runs, picked up 2 more in the next inning, and padded their lead in the 7th with 3 more runs.
3rd baseman Zavier Warren had a big night at the plate, going 3-5 while driving in 3 runs.
Another 3 runs were knocked in by shortstop Ethan Murray, who went 2 for 3 on the night.
On the mound, starter Justin Bullock had a decent night, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4 batters in 6 innings of work, but his relievers were outstanding.
Robbie Baker struck out 3 batters in 2 innings, while Ryan Middendorf closed out the 9th with a pair of strikeouts, and neither pitcher allowed a baserunner.
The Appleton-based ballclub will try to make it two in a row tonight with another 6:30 p.m. start time at Modern Woodmen Park.
Israel Puello will try to bounce back after a sub-par outing his last time up.
