The Big Ten Conference has made history this week by holding the first-ever media days for volleyball Monday and Tuesday.
The national champion Wisconsin Badgers were represented by head coach Kelly Sheffield, middle blocker Anna Smrek, and outside hitter Sarah Franklin.
Sheffield has pushed hard for additional coverage of the college game, seeking more broadcasts on television rather than streaming services.
This year an all-time high of 55 Big Ten games will be broadcast but Sheffield, the players, and other coaches say that could still be better.
