
The trial for a man accused of a hate crime in Fond du Lac is scheduled to begin in a week.
29-year-old Daniel Navarro was charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide with a Hate Crime Enhancer for the 2020 death of 55-year-old Phillip Thiessen.
Navarro allegedly rammed his vehicle into Thiesen, who was on a motorcycle, resulting in his death.
While being interviewed by police, Navarro reportedly stated, “If President Donald Trump and white people are going to create the world we are living in, he has no choice and that people are going to have to die.”
Navarro pleaded not guilty, and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, and will see his trial begin on Monday (August 8th).
