A situation in Sun Prairie Wednesday afternoon led to officials issuing a shelter-in-place order.
A 19-year-old man had called 911 at about 1:15 p.m. to report another man in the home was suicidal and had access to firearms.
During the call, the dispatcher reported hearing loud bangs that could have been gunshots.
A SWAT team and deputies from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office responded.
For a while there was no contact with the two men then the original caller came outside.
Police say no one was arrested and it was determined that no shots were fired.
No names have been released.
