Altoona police say two people have been arrested in the death of 79-year-old Dennis Schattie.
Investigators say they think the homicide was “financially motivated.”
They say Schattie was killed in Altoona and his body was found in the Rock River near Rockford, Illinois.
46-year-old Brandson Gaston of Rockford was arrested on April 8th.
55-year-old Tracey Clark of Altoona was taken into custody six days later.
Both are being held in the Eau Claire County Jail.
