Manitowoc meets Middleton this morning (July 26th) in the first game of the State American Legion Baseball Tournament in Sheboygan.
Manager Kevin Stangel’s team has compiled a 22 and 4 record to date and they’re coming off a Regional championship at Marinette on Friday.
Middleton enters the action today at 11:00 a.m. with a mark of 13-13-and-1.
The remainder of first day play at Wildwood Park has Eau Claire facing Marshfield at 1:45, De Pere vs. Fond du lac at 4:30, and the final game of the day at 7:45 pits tournament host and automatic qualifier Sheboygan against Genoa City.
The Manitowoc/Middleton winner meets either De Pere or Fond du lac tomorrow (July 27th) at 4:30 p.m.
As was the case in the Regional, this is a double-elimination tournament.
