More details have been released regarding an officer-involved shooting in Green Bay.
According to the Green Bay Police Department, officers were called to the scene of a fight between two people in the 700 block of Chapel View Road at 11:00 p.m.
One of the suspects had fled the scene in a car and was reported to have a handgun on him. That individual was let go in an attempt to avoid escalating the situation.
That suspect had actually come back to the scene and fled again three times, but the fourth time he showed up the man reportedly shot at three officers on the scene, who returned fire.
The man was hit by at least one round and immediately surrendered.
He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
The three officers involved were not injured and have been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.
Investigators have been combing through video surveillance and body camera footage to get a clearer picture of what happened.
