When the Milwaukee Brewers host Colorado Friday night they will be starting the second half of the 2022 Major League Baseball season in first place.
Technically, the team is a little past the halfway point with 69 games left.
Milwaukee has a half-game lead on St. Louis in the National League Central Division.
Although the Pirates have played better than expected recently, the Brewers and Cardinals are the focus of the race.
Pittsburgh is still 11 games out of first, and St. Louis has the easiest remaining schedule for any team in either league.
