San Francisco beat the Brewers Sunday 9-5 behind a solid pitching performance by Logan Webb.
The Brewers scored four of their five runs after the game got out of hand. Aaron Ashby absorbed the loss.
Willy Adames and Rowdy Tellez had home runs for Milwaukee.
Rookie Jason Alexander gave up seven of the nine San Francisco runs in relief.
The Brewers return to action Thursday at home against Colorado.
Also, after a couple of changes reliever Devin Williams will be the only Brewers player on the roster for this week’s 2022 Major League Baseball All-Star game.
The National and American leagues meet at Dodger Stadium Tuesday for the annual showdown.
Josh Hader and Corbin Burnes were the original selections from Milwaukee but both have pulled out.
A third-year reliever with an unhittable change-up, Williams was selected over the weekend.
The 27-year-old has a 2-0 record, 6 saves, and an earned run average of 1.77.
