A member of the Outagamie County Board of Supervisors made her stance on the Roe v Wade decision very clear during the Board meeting last night (July 12th).
District 15 Board Supervisor Sara MacDonald refused to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance but did put her hand over her heart.
MacDonald admitted she was hesitant to perform the act as she did not want people to think she was disrespecting the U.S. Military or the country as a whole.
She said she just wanted people to know that she disagrees with the ruling by the Supreme Court.
MacDonald was shown support by Calumet County Board Supervisor Emily Voight, who said she will also start sitting during the Pledge of Allegiance.
The duo said they will continue to sit during the Pledge until the decision is overturned.
