If the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers want to push past the Cedar Rapids Kernels in the standings this week, they are going to have to do it against a strong team on a hot streak.
The West Michigan White Caps have won 8 of their last 10 games, including a 13-4 win over Fort Wayne, and a 20-1 dismantling of Dayton.
In fact, in their last series against Dayton, they outscored the Dragons 39 to 13.
The Rattlers are putting their best foot forward in game one, however, as All-Star pitcher Antoine Kelly is taking on Carlos Guzman.
In his 16 starts this season, Kelly has a 2-3 record, with an ERA of 3.76 while accumulating 104 strikeouts.
Guzman on the other hand has started 14 games, with a win-loss record of 4-5, an ERA of 6.00, and has struck out 50 batters.
First pitch at LMCU Ballpark is scheduled for 5:35 p.m.
