A five-vehicle crash on Interstate 39 in Marquette County has set eight people to area hospitals, three of them children.
The Sunday afternoon crash happened near the 102 mile-marker.
Investigators say the pileup was caused when a northbound vehicle went out of control and rolled over the median, hitting a vehicle in the southbound lane.
A tractor-trailer truck was rear-ended when it slowed down and the vehicle that hit the tractor-trailer was then hit from behind.
No names have been released and all the injuries were said to be minor although at least one victim was airlifted from the scene.
Traffic on the interstate was shut down in both directions for about 30 minutes.
