Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties will be getting over $5 million from the state.
The 2022 General Transportation, Connecting Highway, and Expressway Policing Aids funding has been announced, with Manitowoc County as a whole slotted to get over $2.15 million, and Sheboygan County listed as getting over $3 million.
That money will be split between the Counties and several villages, towns, and cities within their borders.
Manitowoc County as an entity will be getting nearly $860,000, while the City of Manitowoc is getting over $480,000.
The other two cities that will be getting the largest sum of money will be Two Rivers, which is slated to get nearly $137,000, while the City of Kiel will be getting over $83,5000.
These funds are intended to offset the cost of the county and municipal road construction, maintenance, and traffic operations.
