One of the most iconic treats to come out of Wisconsin would have to be the deep-fried cheese curd.
There are many variants of the tasty treat. Beer battered or tempura. Spicy or mild. Everyone has their own take on the gooey treat, and you can try all of them on October 8th.
The United Way of Manitowoc County will be hosting a Curd Crawl fundraiser that Saturday, where you simply purchase a $10 wristband and enjoy a sample of cheese curds at eight different local restaurants.
The Curd Crawl is open to all ages and will kick off at Brix at 11:00 am. You can then visit The Wharf, the Courthouse Pub, Holla, Pizza Garden, Wildcats Longbranch Saloon, and the Wisconsin Café at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center and vote for your favorite.
You can purchase a wristband ahead of time either at the United Way of Manitowoc County headquarters at 21 East Waldo Boulevard or at the UnitedOne Credit Union locations in Walmart and at 1117 South 10th Street.
You can also buy one online by visiting the United Way Manitowoc County website.
