One of the explosions heard yesterday (July 4th) in Sheboygan was not a firework.
The Sheboygan Police Department has informed us that an individual was shot last night in the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue.
The Department was called regarding the shooting at around 11:40 p.m. and arrived to find a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.
Paramedics rendered aid before the man was taken to a Milwaukee hospital for treatment.
His condition is not known at this time.
The incident is believed to have been an isolated one, and the public is not believed to be in any danger.
Officers are currently searching for the suspect and any other individuals involved.
