The St. Nazianz Fire Department has released some more information about that barn fire in the Town of Meeme Monday evening.
The Department reports that they sent crews out to the barn, which was located at 17231 Point Creek Road, at around 10:15 p.m. on June 20th.
Upon their arrival, crews reported seeing flames bursting through the roof of the barn, and more flames coming from the utility room on the second story of the structure.
It took them, and fire crews from 19 other departments 45 minutes to control the inferno, and crews remained on the scene for roughly four hours for overhaul and to complete the fire investigation.
One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for treatment of heat exhaustion.
He has since been released, and no other injuries were reported.
All of the animals in the barn were also reported safe.
