While the number of homes sold in Manitowoc County last month rose compared to a year ago, the price of those homes did as well.
According to a report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, 102 homes were sold locally last month, which is up 29% from last May’s number of 79.
Those homes also sold for an average of $176,000.
In May of 2021, the median price sat at $150,000, which is a jump of 17.3%.
Also rising from last year was the number of days homes spent on the market, although it wasn’t by a lot.
Last May, the average home was on the market for 55 days, while last month they spent 65 days up for sale.
Statewide, there were 5.6% fewer homes sold last month, totaling 7,222, and they sold for 11.8% more, averaging $275,000.
Those homes also spent 13.7% less time on the market, averaging 63 days.
