A pediatrician at Children’s Wisconsin says COVID-19 vaccines are recommended for children ages six months to five years old.
Shipments of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines just started arriving in Wisconsin this week.
Doctor Smriti Khare says the vaccines are a very important step to reducing the illness – specifically serious illness and death from the virus.
Khare says any hospitalization or death that can be prevented should be prevented.
The vaccines are being distributed across the state of Wisconsin and are being made available to parents with young children.
