
There will be no change of venue for the man accused of killing six people last year at the Waukesha Christmas Parade.
Darrell Brooks faces more than 80 charges.
His attorneys had filed a motion saying he couldn’t get a fair trial in Waukesha County.
Judge Jennifer Dorow cited precedents showing local media coverage doesn’t mean a fair trial can’t be held.
Dorow said media coverage has been objective and factual and hasn’t created a presumption of guilt.
The judge said only two Wisconsin counties – Milwaukee and Dane – have higher populations than Waukesha and both of dealing with trial backlogs.
