Manager Chris Cisler tells us Ben Coons was “electric” on the mound, going 7 and one-third innings, scattering 6 hits, and striking out 8.
Carter Stebane finished up in relief retiring the final 5 batters, including 4 strikeouts.
Offensively, Bandits newcomer Jaicee Foster went 2 for 4, AJ Dollinger was 1 for 4 with 3RBI and Earl Vorpagel added a double and reached base twice via hit by a pitch.
Manitowoc returns to Municipal Field tomorrow (Tuesday) night to host the Algoma Guins.
First pitch is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.
