The grandmother of an accused 14-year-old killer has asked the court for leniency. Her teenage grandson is charged with killing 10-year-old Lily Peters.
The suspect’s name hasn’t been released.
He faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree sexual assault, and first-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 13 and is being tried as an adult.
His grandmother asked the Chippewa County judge to move the case to juvenile court.
The next court hearing is set for June 24th.
