As the Green Bay Packers try to rebuild their special teams from the ground up under new coordinator Rich Bisaccia, picking a punt returner is an important step.
Sports Illustrated reports three players returned the punts during the mandatory minicamp just completed – veteran Randall Cobb, second-year player Amari Rodgers, and rookie Romeo Doubs.
All three have had success returning punts.
Rodgers was the team’s main returner last season after Kylin Hill was injured.
The Packers haven’t had a punt returned for a touchdown in the last eight years.
