An endowment fund for children in the lakeshore area continues to have a major impact on needy families.
According to a news release from the Board of Directors for the Helen Gajdys & Lester Reis Endowment, the fund was able to purchase over 1,000 brand new coats over the past 6 years for Salvation Army.
Local supporters have also enabled the Endowment Fund to contribute to organizations such as Peter’s Pantry, TREP, Soles For Souls, Hope House, The Haven, The Boys & Girls Club, Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Domestic Violence Center and Two Rivers Optimist Club.
And, all the funding was accomplished with only $34.00 in expenses for last year.
