Kohler High School captured the division-3 title yesterday at the WIAA State Golf Tournament played at nearby Blackwolf Run.
The Blue Bombers won it with a 2-day total of 643, 5 strokes better than runner-up Cambridge.
They had to rally after trailing by 4 shots entering the final round of 18.
Kohler had 2 golfers among the top 6 individuals, led by 2nd place finisher Reece Breitenbach with a 4 over par 76 (one shot behind the medalist) and Donny Sobecki carded a 78 to tie for 5th.
In division-1 competition on the Meadow Valley Course, Lakeland wins the team title with a 304, 3 shots better than Kettle Moraine.
Sheboygan North posted the best area finish, placing 8th at 324.
Mason Schmidtke topped Golden Raiders’ golfers ending up 4th overall with a 1 over 73.
