A Green Bay man was taken into police custody yesterday after a standoff at a trucking company.
Officers arrived at JW Enterprises on Packerland Drive at around 6:40 a.m. where they encountered a man in his 50s.
He reportedly was a disgruntled employee of the company and threatened to shoot up the building.
Workers evacuated from the premises while officers secured the scene and asked the public to avoid the area.
While the situation was never deemed an active shooter or hostage situation, law enforcement used the utmost caution to ensure everyone’s safety.
The man was in his vehicle when negotiations began, and law enforcement used flash-bang grenades and pepper balls to eventually take the man into custody.
His name has not been released and no injuries were reported.
