
The Manitowoc County Mariners dropped their first game of the season on Saturday, falling to the Brown County Blackjacks 26-14 in semi-pro football action.
The contest was played at Einstein Middle School in Appleton.
Offensively, quarterback Marcos Alfaro II went 20 of 28 through the air for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Lance Billings II had 3 catches for 62 yards and a score from 48 yards away.
Defensive end Chandler Watson had 5 tackles and a forced fumble while Safety Corey Oligney had an interception.
The Mariners (4-1) will travel to Westosha High School in Salem, Wisconsin next Saturday, June 11th to meet the Southern Lakes Blue Devils. Kickoff time is 7 p.m.
