The Green Bay man accused of killing three people in a high-speed crash may be entering a plea deal.
Abdi Ahmed was scheduled to have a jury trial, but instead, he will be in court today for a plea hearing.
Ahmed is accused of driving nearly 95 MPH along Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay in June 2020 when he slammed into another vehicle.
Jesse L. Saldana, Sonia D. Gonzalez-Guillen, and Sonia V. Gonzalez all died as a result.
Ahmed has been charged with three counts of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide in the case, and is facing up to 180 years in prison.
The Green Bay Police had reportedly also received numerous complaints from citizens reporting Ahmed’s vehicle driving recklessly, including a couple of days before the accident where he was allegedly going 90 MPH in the dark without his lights on.
