Door County Gets Nearly Half Of $8M State Grant For Transportation

Door County’s Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding stands to receive three-point-six-million dollars of a state grant for transportation improvements.  The Wisconsin Harbor Assistance Program grants will total eight-million statewide.  The money is to improve access and transportation at Wisconsin ports and harbors.  The Door County money will be used to build a dock wall and do some needed dredging.  Another one-point-seven-million dollars will go to Cenex Harvest States in Superior to replace about 600 feet of dock wall.
