The Brewers outslugged the Cubs in the first game and outpitched them in the second winning 7-6, and 3-1 respectively on the way to a Memorial Day doubleheader sweep.
Tyrone Taylor hit a pair of homers – one in each game – and lefty Aaron Ashby fanned a dozen Cubs in the nightcap while picking up his first win.
Luis Urias pounded a three-run homer in the opener to break a tie.
The two wins increased the Brewers’ lead over St. Louis in the National League Central Division to four full games.
Eric Lauer starts for Milwaukee tonight at Wrigley Field.
