Mabel A. Marsicek, age 97, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Mabel was born on April 23, 1925 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Stangel Hlinak. Mable was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. On May 25, 1946 she married Vernon Marsicek at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tish Mills. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1984. Mabel was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She is survived by 13 children, Louise Ann “Lou Ann” Schneider, Valders, Joyce Klein, Manitowoc, Lynn (Jeffery) Stecker, Manitowoc, Robert (Jayette) Marsicek, New Holstein, Kenneth (Patricia) Marsicek, Kellnersville, Donald (Debra) Marsicek, Maple Grove, Daniel (Kay) Marsicek, Whitelaw, Bill Marsicek, Reedsville, James (Patty) Marsicek, LaPorte, IN, Dennis (Lori) Marsicek, Kaukauna, Patrick (Kay) Marsicek, Neenah, Roger Marsicek, Combined Locks, Thomas (Karin) Marsicek, San Diego, CA, one sister-in-law, Joyce Hlinak, Mishicot; 25 grandchildren, one step grandson, 25 great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Hlinak, husband, Vernon, 2 brothers, Norbert and Raymond Hlinak, and a brother and sister in infancy.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
