Students in the Professional Agricultural Students Club at Lakeshore Technical College fared well at spring national and state competitions.
According to Club Advisor Craig Lallensack, approximately 300 students from two- and four-year colleges across the country competed in Minneapolis, and LTC was represented by Colin DeYoung, Alex Diersen, and Elizabeth Benicke.
The team placed first in the Dairy Specialist team competition, topping colleges including Iowa State University and Southern Illinois University.
Diersen placed second in the Dairy Specialist and Dairy Specialist Employment Interview events.
Lallensack said of his team, “It is truly amazing to support our students throughout their programs and watch them put all they learn in class and out in the field together to compete and problem-solve as some of the best students in the state and country.”
