The Manitowoc Public School District’s Board of Education is scheduled to hold a meeting this evening.
The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Office on Lindbergh Drive at 5:30 p.m.
After looking over the Committee reports, Superintendent Mark Holzman will issue his personnel report and will give an update on District activity.
The Board will also hold a discussion regarding Policy 2240, which relates to Controversial Issues in the Classroom.
We have reached out to Board President Stacey Soeldner to see what exactly that conversation will be about.
The Board of Education will also continue looking over staffing recommendations and the search for a teacher for the visually impaired before looking over several out-of-state travel requests.
These include the football and boys soccer teams traveling to Ludington Michigan on the S.S. Badger, but also the AP U.S. History class attending an event in Indianapolis, and the Kids at Hope group going to Phoenix Arizona.
