
A massive recall has been issued by the J.M. Smucker Company, namely in the Jif peanut butter line.
The Food and Drug Administration released a statement saying that fourteen people in twelve different became sick after eating Jif peanut butter, and two of them had to be hospitalized.
The recall includes pretty much any item that contains peanut butter, including the creamy, crunchy, and natural varieties.
If you have any Jif product with a lot code between 1274425 and 2140425, you are encouraged to throw it out or return it where you purchased it.
The lot code can be found on the back side of the product and is below the “Best If Used By” tag.
There is a lengthy number listed.
The lot number is the first seven digits in that number.
