
The was a big police presence because 11,000 people were celebrating at a watch party in the Deer District Friday night.
Despite that, the bullets started flying nearby and at two other locations. A total of 21 people were wounded.
Assistant Police Chief Nicole Waldner says it goes beyond respect for law enforcement.
She says she thinks it goes to respect for human lives.
Ten guns were recovered from five of the gunshot victims.
A curfew for people under the age of 21 was put into place for Saturday and Sunday nights.
