When a Milwaukee police officer opened fire at an armed suspect Thursday night, he hit him — but he also hit a fellow officer. Police were responding to a report of a domestic dispute. When they encountered a man armed with a knife, the 21-year-old officer fired several shots. The 48-year-old suspect was transported to Froedtert Hospital with an injury which isn’t life-threatening. The 25-year-old officer who was hit by a stray shot suffered a minor foot wound and he was taken to the same hospital. No names have been released.
