In reaction to the shooting last week, Shoreline Metro in Sheboygan has buffed its security efforts.
Last week Friday, a 17-year-old was shot near the bus station, and three other teens were arrested.
This is the second such shooting near Shoreline Metro as a person was shot and killed back in October.
Shoreline has announced that they will be making some changes to their downtown transfer station, including closing the enclosed customer waiting area, investing in a newer video surveillance system, adding staff and possibly a police presence at the Transfer Station, and incorporating cashless fare media payment options.
Shoreline Metro Director Derek Muench said these changes are vital to ensuring the public and their customer’s safety.
