The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were able to eke out a win yesterday in Davenport Iowa.
It was a closely contested battle, but the Rattlers edged out the Quad Cities River Bandits 3-2.
The Rattlers started out strong, plating two runs in the first inning thanks to a one-on, no-one-out bomb from third baseman Zavier Warren, but the River Bandits clawed their way back.
They scored once in the 5th and 6th innings and held the Rattlers without another score until the 8th inning.
Then, Joe Gray Jr. doubled, and Tristan Peters brought him home to score the winning run.
Cam Robinson took the mound in the 8th and pitched almost flawlessly to earn the save.
The two teams are back at it again at Modern Woodmen Park, with Justin Jarvis will pitch against Charlie Neuweiler.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
