The people of Manitowoc County are weighing in on the recent controversy with the Supreme Court.
A leaked document indicates that the Court may overturn Roe V Wade, which legalized abortions in the U.S. During their show on WOMT, Jim and Rick took calls and texts from listeners regarding their opinions.
Here are some of the Pro-Life listener’s statements.
“Abortion is not birth control.”
“Something to think about. If your mother did not choose life, you may have nothing to say about abortion.”
“Also, we talk about women’s and therefore mothers’ rights. What about the father’s rights? To clarify, I am indeed a woman myself.”
“All I can say is thank you mom and dad for choosing life.”
Here are some of the Pro-Choice listeners’ statements.
“People need to realize it’s not pro-abortion, it’s pro-choice. If you are going to protest it, you should know what you are protesting.”
“Whether abortion is legal or not, it does not change my day one bit. I couldn’t care less.”
One texter even gave a different solution to the problem, saying, “I say instead of supporting abortions we provide good resources like food stamps, medical services, emotional education support, taxi rides and such so mothers don’t feel like killing their unborn baby is the only way out.”
