A second Dane County judge has ordered that records connected to the investigation of the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin not be destroyed.
Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn said in court she is “frankly amazed” that the order is necessary.
Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman has been conducting the probe.
An attorney representing Assembly Speaker Robin Vos – the man who hired Gableman – and Assembly Clerk Ted Blazel in an open records lawsuit argues they aren’t responsible for the records that have been generated.
The judge didn’t buy that argument.
The liberal group American Oversight has filed suits to obtain the records.
