The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reports a deputy and a sergeant were hurt Sunday night when they responded to a barn fire.
Authorities say the two victims were injured when they were hit by a piece of firefighting equipment.
The extent of their injuries isn’t known.
A homeowner was taken to a hospital to receive treatment for smoke inhalation.
No names have been released.
Deputies say they were able to rescue some horses that were in the burning barn.
Heavy smoke led authorities to shut down traffic on Highway 50 until it had dissipated.
